The Sneaker Exchange

Capstone Project

The Sneaker Exchange is a project that I built using VueJS as the front-end framework and Ruby On Rails on the back-end. The web application is geared towards people within the sneaker community to buy, sell and trade authentic sneakers within an area of their location.

The premise of this app came from my own frustrations when buying and selling hyped sneakers through other conventional ecommerce sites such as StockX and Goat or eBay. The web-app gives people within the sneaker community another avenue to buying and selling their favorite kicks.

Stuff I do

I am a self-driven software engineer with a strong background in communication, and customer service. I am currently working in level 2 technical support at a payment gateway company based in Chicago. I am proficient in working with a variety of different languages, platforms, frameworks such as JavaScript, React, Vue, Postgres, Heroku and Netlify.
The role as technical support requires soft skills in customer service combined with the technical skill of a developer. I am experienced with skills in both front-end and back-end developement.
Working in Fintech, I bring experience in communicating with multi-disciplinary teams of engineers, designers and clients on a daily basis.
